A space to share innovation in security technology The KUIDDA System Outreach Workshop took place last Friday, March 13, in the auditorium of ESAN University. The event gathered approximately 40 to 50 attendees, including university students, faculty members, entrepreneurs, technology professionals, and representatives of the innovation ecosystem.
The event was organized by KUIDDA, with the support of Startup UNI and the ProInnóvate program, with the aim of sharing the results of the project funded by this program, presenting the MVP that was developed, and showcasing the potential of this technology to help strengthen public safety.
Artificial intelligence technology applied to security The main presentation was delivered by Jackeline Advíncula Herrera, who explained the project’s approach and the development of the KUIDDA system. The session also featured the participation of the technical team made up of Bryan Machuca and Edwin Soto.
During the workshop, it was explained how the system uses artificial intelligence and video analysis to process images from security cameras and detect suspicious behavior that may represent potential threats.
In addition, community security use cases were presented, along with the progress made during the project’s development and the results achieved in the MVP validation stage.
A live demonstration that captured the attendees’ attention One of the highlights of the event was the live demonstration of the KUIDDA system, in which attendees were able to see how the artificial intelligence agent analyzes security camera images to identify suspicious patterns in real time.
This demonstration made it possible to show, in a practical way, how the technology works and its potential application in different security contexts.
A co-creation space with the innovation ecosystem The workshop also included a co-creation session with participants, which allowed for an open dialogue about the main challenges in public safety and the role that emerging technologies can play in addressing them.
During this activity, attendees shared ideas, perspectives, and possible application scenarios for the system, enriching the development of the solution and strengthening the link between technological innovation and the real needs of society.
Technological innovation with social impact Through initiatives like this outreach workshop, KUIDDA seeks to bring technological development closer to the academic and entrepreneurial ecosystem, showing how artificial intelligence-based solutions can help improve community security through intelligent and preventive surveillance systems.
The event also reaffirms the importance of coordinating efforts among technology startups, universities, and innovation programs, with the goal of promoting solutions that respond to society’s current challenges.
